Pizza

Homemade pizza is so good and relatively easy to make. I was inspired by other foodies making their own dough and after reading several recipes decided that I had worked myself into a frenzy for no reason. Never made a yeasted dough in my life and thought I would give it a try. It was easier than I thought but the process is a little long with having to wait for the dough to rise, punch down, and rise again. Next time, I'm going to make more and freeze the dough. Apparently, the best time is to freeze after the dough has risen for the first and has been punched down. When you're ready to use, defrost in the fridge over night and let rise for 30-60 minutes or so.

Too tired to write much else though I am seriously thinking about making cinnamon rolls now that I know I can deal with yeast!

Homemade pizza is the best!! It goes so quickly though after making the sauce, the dough and then baking. Thank goodness for the pizzeria for those quick fixes!!!

Your pizza looks good. I recently tried making my own pizza including the dough. Great tip on freezing the dough! A pizza only takes about 20 minutes if you don't have to make the dough. I am going to try freezing some the next time I make pizza.

Oh my gosh, i've been craving for cinnamon rolls!U better make it soon and put up the recipe so i can make them too.. :)
Homemade pizza is so good. You can add anything you want on them. My mom always makes it really spicy and makes them with an Indian twist.
Did you use a bread maker for ur pizza dough?

Just remember - the yeast is smaller than you are :) Nothing to be worried about.

When I make pizza dough I only set it to rise once. Drop the dough on the pizza stone (or pan) under an overturned bowl and leave it there while you prep the toppings. By the time you're done chopping and stirring and whatnot the dough will be ready to knead into shape. Takes much less time and works just as well, trust me.

I have had a lot of success with homemade pizza. One trick I've been using a lot lately: build your pizza on parchment paper (cut the excess away after you've rolled the crust). It transfers to a stone so much more easily (no sticking to your peel). If you want, throw your 'za right on the grill (on the parchment paper). The paper makes it so nothing sticks. This is a great option for those hot days when you don't want the oven on at 450!
